DevOpsDays Amsterdam 2026
DevOpsDays Amsterdam 2026
Thank you for considering a submission for DevOpsDays Amsterdam 2026 (19 June 2026)!
The format of DevOpsDays Amsterdam includes a single track of in-person 25-minute talks in the morning, with in-person Ignite talks (5 minutes, auto-forwarding) after lunch. We spend the afternoon in Open Spaces, considered a vital portion of the event. We also offer an additional single track around a specific theme or topic for those not participating in the Open Spaces.
Important Dates
- Call for proposals opens: Thursday, February 26, 2026
- Call for proposals closes: Sunday, March 29, 2026
- Selected proposals announced: Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Ideas & Topics
Below are some of the criteria and topics we look for when selecting talks. We are most interested in real-world experience: "We had problem X; we did Y to address it, here’s how that turned out—both the good and the bad."
Culture & Organization
- Organizational change: Practical stories of shifts in management and engineering.
- Cultural aspects: Were there unexpected problems during your cultural change in this ecosystem?
- Successes and failure stories: We value honest stories about failures even more than success stories.
AI in Practice (Beyond the Hype)
- Workflow improvements: How are you using AI to improve day-to-day engineering, operations, or delivery workflows?
- Real-world examples: Concrete use cases in CI/CD, incident response, observability, testing, documentation, platform engineering, security, or developer experience.
- Implementation reality: What worked, what didn’t, and what surprised you when introducing AI into existing processes?
- Governance & Trust: Lessons learned around reliability, cost, or human-in-the-loop systems.
Technology & Future
- Practical adoption: Knowledge gained on how to adopt a particular technology successfully.
- The next frontier: What is the next frontier for DevOps?
Genuine implementations and personal lessons learned are what our audience consistently finds the most compelling. We are looking for concrete outcomes rather than theoretical frameworks or future predictions.
Important notes
- LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! We prefer local speakers and speakers that can travel sustainably towards our conference. For a DevOpsDays conference closer to you, see here.
- New presenters: We want to hear everybody’s voice, especially those new to the space. We can help with your submission and/or talk. Reach out at [email protected].
- Diversity: One of the main building blocks of DevOps is Culture. We highly value diversity and believe DevOpsDays should shine a spotlight on it. If you're part of a group whose voices we don't hear as often, we'd love to hear from you!
General guidelines
- Submissions: You may submit up to 2 proposals per person.
- Detail: Please provide enough detail in the Notes section for us to understand what your time will be filled with and what the audience will learn. A one-liner is not enough to evaluate your talk properly.
- Speakers: More than one speaker is fine; please ensure all are added to the proposal.
- In-person only: Only submissions for in-person talks will be accepted.
- No Pitches: We do not accept vendor sales pitches, PR-firm submissions, or submissions on behalf of someone else.
Ignite Format
When submitting an Ignite, please be aware that we will ask for your slides in PDF format a minimum of 2 days before the conference. This means you will need to submit your final Ignite slides by end of day 17 June 2026.
Ignite talks will be run by the Ignite wrangler from their system on auto-forwarding. For a detailed explanation of how Ignites work, see this page.
By submitting, you agree to abide by the Code of Conduct.
