Talos as an operating system is currently hot and happening.
During this workshop, Kevin and Erwin introduce you to the declarative way of Kubernetes clusters and how to manage them with Talos.
What is an immutable OS? How do you bootstrap Talos? How do you upgrade your Talos? That, and more questions will all be answered during this hands-on workshop.
Supporting the theory, Kevin and Erwin will be giving demos, after which the hands-on part of the workshop starts. Here, you will define your own cluster, bootstrap and upgrade this. Along the way, there's room for questions about specific use cases.
By day Erwin is a DevOps engineer at TrueFullstaq, consulting companies on how to best implement cloud native principles on the public cloud and how to develop applications to fully embrace what new technologies can offer.
At night he turns into a chindōgu engineer (look it up on wikipedia, it's awesome). Tinkering with stuff like adding music to his home elevator or connecting his garage door to the internet.
His presentations always come with a dose of humor and self-deprecation. And if it all works out, you'll learn something too.
