This beginner-friendly, three-hour hands-on workshop guides developers and SREs through instrumenting applications using OpenTelemetry and exporting telemetry data (metrics, logs, and traces) to the Grafana LGTM stack. Participants will explore various instrumentation approaches—including code-level OpenTelemetry SDKs, infrastructure metric collection via the Collector, and zero-code eBPF instrumentation for cross-service communication—alongside optimization techniques like span sampling and metrics tuning. By the end of the session, attendees will gain a clear, practical roadmap for implementing and customizing scalable observability patterns within their own Docker-based environments.
