Christian Polanco
Christian is a Platform Engineer, technical writer, and community organizer. Over his career across fast-growing tech companies, including Amenitiz and Adevinta, he has specialized in Kubernetes orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and resilient cloud architecture.
Beyond hands-on platform engineering, Christian is deeply involved in the local open-source ecosystem as a co-organizer for the CNCF Barcelona community and speaker at cloud-native conferences. He is passionate about sharing lessons learned from real-world outages, scaling challenges, and production tooling.

CPU and memory are the defaults for scaling up. But in many projects, these metrics react minutes late to issues caused by other areas of the application, thus delaying your autoscaling. In this workshop, we will learn how to hunt for the right metric and how to scale once you find it using Kind, Keda, and Prometheus.
