Philadelphia has a growing and thriving tech scene. What some might call “the Philly Renaissance”, Philadelphia is quickly becoming a hub for innovation and growth. DevOpsDays Philadelphia aims to strike a balance between Philly- connected, technical relevance, industry perspective, and culture.

DevOps covers a wide range and so do our talks. We at devopsdays Philly would love to hear about your talks on: interesting uses of tech stacks and pipelines, culture, process, DevSecOps, AI, environmentally friendly computing, learning experiences, or how you've managed to glue together something really fun.
We're interested in standard format 30-45 minute talks for our main stage, hour-long workshops, and short ignite talks. Please reach out if you've got something you're legitimately passionate about and want to share, but aren't sure where it fits.
Choosing talks is part art, part science; here are some factors we consider when trying to assemble the best possible program for our local audience:
Broad appeal: How will your talk play out in a room of people with a variety of backgrounds?
Technical deep dives need more levels to provide value for the whole room, some of whom might not use your specific tool. Is your deep dive better as a workshop for those specific users?
New local presenters: You are the only one who can tell your story. We are very interested in the challenges and successes being experienced in our local area. We are happy to provide guidance/coaching for new speakers upon request.
Under-represented voices: We want to hear all voices, including those that may speak less frequently at similar events. Whether you’re in a field not typically thought of as a technology field, you’re in a large, traditional organization, or you’re the only person in your organization with your background, we are interested in your unique experience.
Original content: We will consider talks that have already been presented elsewhere, but we prefer talks that the local area isn’t likely to have already seen.
No third-party submissions: If a PR firm or your marketing department is proposing the talk, you’ve already shown that as a speaker you’re distant from the process. This is a small community-driven event, and speakers need to be directly engaged with the organizers and attendees.
No vendor pitches: We value vendors and sponsors, however, we cannot accept a talk that appears to be a pitch for your product. If you’d like to demo your product or service, please consider sponsoring the event to secure your company a table. Any talk we even suspect will be a sales white paper presentation or an advertisement presented as a talk will be skipped right over.
You can enter proposals until 2025-06-30 23:59 (America/New_York), 2 months from now.
