Laura Vuorenoja
Laura Vuorenoja is a DevOps Specialist, Hands-on Architect, and Full-stack Developer who builds reliable, scalable developer tooling. With 20 years of software engineering experience, she has learned that technical excellence is the byproduct of engineering craftsmanship and open knowledge sharing through collaboration and pair programming.
Currently, Laura works on a platform team at OP Pohjola—the largest bank in Finland—architecting and developing high-security, compliant CI/CD and cloud automation tools for GitHub and Azure. As a founding member of the OP GitHub Community, she bridges the gap between complex infrastructure and developer experience, providing the training and tooling that empower teams to ship faster and more securely.
Taking a pragmatic, technology-agnostic approach, her current stack centers on GitHub, Azure, and TypeScript, where she consistently prioritizes the right solution over the latest trend. When she is not scaling enterprise pipelines or championing developer culture, Laura finds joy in exploring the Finnish wilderness.
Session
Managing custom GitHub Actions across polyrepos causes implementation drift and high maintenance. In this session, we detail a scalable monorepo architecture to streamline development. We will explore the transition from bash to TypeScript to enable robust QA, and demonstrate how publishing to isolated target repositories fundamentally solves e2e testing. Finally, we will show how this consolidated model provides similar context for AI agents across all projects, and how our improved QA process serves as a vital safety net for reliable AI-based development.
