DevOpsDays Juiz de Fora 2025
What We’re Looking For
Types of Accepted Proposals
Talk (30 min): 25-minute presentations on a topic of your choice, with 5 of those minutes dedicated to audience interaction (questions, etc.).
Long Talk (50 min): 40-minute presentations on a topic of your choice, with 10 of those minutes dedicated to audience interaction (questions, etc.).
General Guidelines
- Add as much detail as you can. You don’t need to write out your entire talk in the submission, but do provide enough information for the selection committee to understand what your talk will cover.
- Multiple submissions are welcome, but please stick to topics related to DevOps and its ecosystem!
- There’s no need to include personal information—we select talks based on content.
- All presentations must comply with the code of conduct.
- Proposals must be submitted through this platform. If you have questions, email us at:

Selection Criteria
Choosing talks is part art, part science. Here are some of the factors we consider in building the best possible program for our local audience:
-
Broad appeal: How well does your presentation resonate with people of different backgrounds and experience levels? Very technical talks should include different layers to ensure they provide value to everyone—even those unfamiliar with the specific tool or concept.
-
New local speakers: You're the only one who can tell your story. We’re especially interested in hearing about local challenges and success stories. We're happy to help mentor new speakers who reach out to us.
-
Underrepresented voices: We want to hear all voices, especially those that are less commonly featured at similar events. If you're in a field not traditionally seen as tech, work at a large or traditional organization, or you're the only person in your company with your background—we want to hear your unique perspective.
-
No submissions by third parties: This is a community-driven event. Speakers must be directly engaged with organizers and attendees. If a PR agency or department is submitting on behalf of someone else, it's a strong sign the speaker is too far removed from the process.
-
No vendor pitches: While we value vendors and sponsors, we won't accept talks that feel like a pitch for a product. You’re welcome to showcase those at your booth or during Open Spaces.
Talk Ideas
We’re always looking for the broadest possible range of topics—we know that’s essential to creating an amazing event. So we encourage you to “think outside the box” when submitting your proposal. We also recommend submitting more than one different topic—statistically, submitting only one may reduce your chances of being selected. To get your ideas flowing, here are some suggested topics:
- GitOps
- DevSecOps
- Microservices
- Chaos Engineering
- Observability
- Building culture
- Diversity in IT
- Kubernetes
- Continuous learning, such as Dojos
- Infrastructure as code
- Professional development, teaching, training, and mentoring
- Mental health, stress, and burnout
- Learning from failures
- Continuous improvement
- Organizational culture in changing times and Observability
But don’t feel limited to these — we’re open to different themes and perspectives related to DevOps and beyond.
You can enter proposals until 2025-08-10 23:31 (Brazil/East), 3 weeks, 1 day from now.
